1.0 Guidelines

1.1. You'll first need to register to bid online. Click on the register button near the top right of the web page as shown below.

auction register

1.2. You will then be taken to the register screen as shown in the picture below.

register

1.3 You then need to fill in all the details and click on the button next to "I have read. understood. and accept Fast Bidding Terms & Conditions". Then click the register button. You will then receive an email where you need to click on the activation link or copy the link from the email into your browser address bar.

1.3. After logging in, you will notice that you have received your free bids and can therefore use them. You can also charge up your account with more bids/credits if you so desire. We then suggest you have a period of studying the different auction types and also how other users are bidding and get a good feel for the site. When you are ready choose the item or items you want to bid on and click on the bid button or use the auto bid facility.

1.4. Auction bids/credits can only be used at this auction website. Unused bids/credits cannot be refunded.

1.5. Once the auction has ended and if your the winner, you will get an e-mail confirmation. You should then pay for the auctions you win from your UserCP

Once you click on your User CP button you will get the following screen displayed:

In your profile you can amend some of your details and view the status of the auctions you have won. If you happen to change email addresses at some point you will need to email info@fastbidding.com and request that we change your email address.

1.6. To pay for the auction you have won then simply click either "Pay with Alertpay , Realex or ClickandBuy Checkout" button. You do not need an AlertPay account to use credit cards. After your payment is processed the status column will change to "paid". The item will be shipped directly from our suppliers normally within 14-21 days and the status column will change to "shipped".

1.7. You cannot take part in Auction if you are under the age of eighteen (18) years.

1.8. Fast Bidding has the right to close or pause all current auctions or individual auctions in the event of system failure or a technical fault. Should it be deemed that the fault/failure will affect the auction being resumed correctly then any used bids will be returned/credited to the respective user accounts.

1.9. The owners, partners and employees of Fast Bidding cannot be held responsible for any failure or failures that occurs in the Auction system.

2.0 How to bid

2.1. The starting price of every new auction lot is £0.00 except for the reverse auctions.

2.2. With each bid placed the price of the item increases by 1p unless otherwise stated, or if a double credit  or reverse auction is running.

2.3. When you place a bid, we also set the counter back to the auction running time except for the bid extender and reverse auctions.

2.4. If no-one else bids and there are no more auto bids or the counter reaches zero, then after a checking period, congratulations you will be the winner. The winner of the auction is always the last bidder.

2.5. You should not leave any manual bids to the very last second. We cannot account for web browser and internet connection delays and once the auction reaches a "checking" status then you cannot bid unless there are further auto bids and then the timer will reset.

3.0 Auto bid System and More Info Page

3.1. If you click on the "read more info" link of any product from the auction page or click on the description of any product from the easy view page you will find a screen like the one below. If auto bids are not enabled for the particular auction then the auto bid block shown below will not be visible.

3.2. Here is a description of the main functions of this page:

(1) This is the current count down time of the auction
(2) Current savings are calculated from the current auction price + S&H  (shipping and Handling)(3) + vat (4), if applicable, all of which gives the total (5). This then forms the percentage current saving against the RRP (6).

3.3. Our Auto bid system (7) lets you bid on auctions where auto bidding is enabled, even if you’re sleeping or eating, so you don’t miss out. The auto bidder will place your bids at anytime from 8 seconds to 0 seconds and during the checking phase. It does this randomly.

3.4. Getting our Auto bid system to place your bids guarantees they will get placed after any manual bids at the end of each countdown period.

3.5. You don’t even have to worry about losing your internet connection as your auto bids will always be placed.

3.6. Just tell the Auto bid the minimum "Bid from price" (8) which will always show the current bidding price  of the auction. You can set this higher however if there are not enough bids to reach the price you set then your first auto bid will never be placed and the auction may close with another bidder winning the auction. You also need to set the maximum "Bid to price" (9) to the price at which you want the auto bid system to place your bids, as well as the number of bids/credits (10) you're prepared for the auto bid system to use.
You can also set the "Bid to price" (9) to 999, then in the number of bids/credits (10) you can put the exact number of bids you want the auto bidder to place.
The auto bid system will then do the rest totally automatically! You do not have to set the number of bids/credits to use if you want to bid on every opportunity. Once you have set the bids up then press the start button (11), currently shown in the picture above as "cancel" as the picture shows the screen after auto bids have been placed.

3.7. You can also cancel the auto bids at anytime by clicking the "Cancel" button, (11) which appears when Auto bids are set as shown above.

4.0 Buy It Now

4.1 Some of the auctions are "Buy it Now" enabled. This means you can place bids on a "Buy It Now" enabled auction and choose to buy the product instead of continuing to bid and therefore buy it at a reduced price depending on a percentage of the value and the amount of bids you have placed. You will know if certain auctions are  "Buy it Now" auctions as their current bid price is in blue as opposed to red as shown below.

The second way is  by going to the more info screen. You either click on "more info" from the auction screen or click on the description of the auction from the "Easy View" page. You will then see:

Click on the button as shown by the green arrow above

4.2 You will then arrive at a screen as shown below:

(1) shows you the current price you would pay which is made up from (2) the R.R.P minus the discount (3) which is calculated from the bids you have placed at £0.45 per bid. Shipping and handling is added (4) giving you the total to pay (5). If you then click on the "Buy Now" Button 96) you are commiting to purchase the item and will be taken to the following screen:

Here you will be given the options of the payment processor to pay with. Simply pay via the payment processor of you choice and your purchase will appear in your UserCP. Shipping is then normally 21 days but may be sooner. Please also see the Buy It Now terms in our terms and conditions.

5.0 Seated Auctions.

Seated auctions increase your chances of winning my means of less competition and the chance to bid with some of our magic bids. A seated auction when listed looks like the following on the easy view page:

Seated auctions can even launch before all the seats are sold. Here is how the seated auction works.

1) Booking a Seat

First of all book a seat. Booking a seat is easy but remember once booked you cannot un-seat yourself. Simply make sure you have enough bids and click book. Once the required of "seats to launch" has been met an email will be sent giving a 1 hour notice of the auction starting.

2) Once a Seat is Booked.

Booking a seat in a seated auction will come automatically with some free magic bids. These magic bids will automatically be placed on the auto bidder and cannot be removed so will therefore get placed.

3) Buying Magic Bids.

Magic bids are offered are offered in limited quantities at a big reduction in price compared to standard bids so it is advised to buy them early before they are sold out. You must however buy them before the auction starts. These are then placed on the auto bidder and cannot be removed so work out how many you would like to buy first. There is no rquirement to buy magic bids as you can use the standard bids in your bid bank.

4) Auction Start.

As soon as the "seats to launch" have been filled then the auction will commence one hour from this point.

5) Normal Bids As Autobids.

As well as or instead of buying magic bids you can add bids to the auto bidder from your bid bank. It is worth noting that any purchased or free magic bids will be used first.

6) Important Note Regarding Your Bid Bank:

When placing manual bids the system will allow you to use bids that possibly the auto bid system may need. as well. It is therefore very important that you always have enough bids to cover your manual bidding and auto bidding requirements. We do not take any responsibility for you running out of auto bids or total bids.
