Auction Types

standard   Standard: This is the standard type of penny auction commonly seen on most penny auction sites. The price starts at £0.00 and is increased by 1p for every bid placed.


standard   Bid For Free: With this auction you can bid without without reducing your bid bank. The only cost is the final auction selling price + delivery, (digital delivery in the case of bid packs).


virgin   Virgin/Rookie: Just for those who have never won an auction on Fast Bidding before. Get your first win with this type of auction.


early bird   Early Bird: A reward type auction for the early morning risers, whereby, everyone who bids more than x number of bids will be rewarded with x bids back into their bid bank.


   24 Hour: These auctions run outside of our normal opening hours which are currently 6pm to 11.30pm  seven days a week (summer opening hours).

   Combo: Grab both goods or vouchers/gift card plus a bid package in one go with this one. The best of both worlds.


   Starter: These are special auctions for new users and for those who have won 4 or less Fastbidding auctions, (including a virgin/rookie auction). Our starter auctions are ideal for people who are new to penny auctions and for people who are getting used to how Fastbidding works. Less competition, more chance of winning!


bid pack doubler   Bid Pack Doubler: An auction where you start bidding on a bid pack and  when the price hits the reserve, it will double it's value so you could, if you win, get twice the number of bids!!

 

   Golden Bids: You could become a golden bidder with this type of auction and boost your bidding power by receiving FREE bonus bids. Whether you win the auction or not, you will still benefit as the golden bidder.


   Winner Bids Back: If you win this auction you will get all your bids back that you placed on the auction as well as the product too.


   Bid Extender: This type of auction extends the auction time by a set number of seconds with each bid placed.


   Lockout: This type of auction provides a level of safety in bidding where the auction requires x number of bids to be placed per user before the lockout feature activates. At this point, the bid button will change from green to gold and only the users left in the auction are able to bid, no one else can jump in.


   Bid Grabber: The bids will rise and may fall too, but never below the starting bid value. Can you win while the bid value is rising or dare you wait and see the bid value fall.


   Cash Grabber: The cash will rise and may fall too, but never below the starting cash value. Can you win while the cash is is rising or dare you wait and see it falling.


   Seated: In a seated auction you can beat the crowds and compete against fewer bidders


   Free Magic Bids: These bids are available in limited quantities but at a greatly reduced price but can only be used in the auction they were bought for.


   Magic Bids Available: This is the total number of magic bids available in the auction.


   Bid Down: This one is different. The price starts low and reduces as the bids are placed. Drive the price down and grab yourself a bargain.


random bid pack   Bonus Bid Pack: You will never be sure what value the bid pack will end up at with this auction as the value changes randomly, but rest assured it will never be less than the value it started at.

   Double Credit:  Occasionally we will run this type of auction for some of our large value items where the auction price will rise by 2p with each bid. Not a lot if you win a brand new car!
