Following on from the taster auctions, Fastbidding has been going through a major upgrade and we are pleased to announce that this work is now complete. We are therefore ready to resume full auctions.

So what is new and what is improved?

Bid Pack Prices and Offers.

We have reduced the price of bid packs and will hold these prices until the end of February 2010, depending on response this may get extended. You can therefore bid on products for as little as 50p per bid.

Our further offer to get ready to resume full auctions is buy any bid pack at the new lower prices and get a further 30% extra bids added for free. This offer closes on Sunday 24th January 2010 at noon.

Speed Improvements.

We have rewritten our easy view page as we were aware that some users with lower internet speed conections were suffering in respect of response times. You will now find that the site runs at lightening speed.

Enhanced Auto Bid System.

We have rewritten parts of the auto bid system and you will see that instead of auto bids being activated after the checking period they are now activated randomly from 8 seconds downwards. Also in addition to how you entered auto bids before you can set the amount of auto bids you want to use instead of just a bid from and to price. By placing 999 in the bid to box you can then enter the amount of auto bids in the bids box you want to use on any auction.

Payment Processing.

We have now added directly onto the site google checkout both for bid pack purchase and won auction products. This gives a wider range of cards to use including debit cards.

Whats Coming Very Soon?

Payment options.

We will continue to add further payment options as these get approved.

One thing that would be useful would be a dynamic counter for the autobid function, instead of just a static number telling you how many bids you initially placed on it. There've been times when I nearly lost an auction because I forgot how many bids were on the autobidder. Because the auctions on fastbidding are so sedate (not an insult lol) it can be laborious to keep checking every minute or so to keep track of an auction.

Hello,

If you check out your "UserCP" page, you'll see a list of all active autobid auctions that you've placed bids on, the total number of autobids you've placed on it, and the total number placed with the current autobid set.

Is this what you're looking for?

Kinda, but it would be better if it showed how many bids were left in an autobidder on the actual auction page itself, instead of having to go to the User CP page.

Well, because FastBidding gives you the option to autobid based on either a number of bids, a range of prices, or both, there's no way to really calculate the number of bids "left" on an auction. We place the information we have in the UserCP because many users like to have that page and the easy view page open. That way, they can see all the information they need in 2 pages, and not need to have every auction page open.

Yeah I know what you mean, that makes sense, I just prefer the individual pages open myself.

When I was talking about the autobidder, I meant to say that it would be good to show how many bids I currently have left with the autobidder out of how many bids I originally placed with the autobidder. So every time it went to ten seconds and my autobidder placed a bid, the displayed autobid count would decrease by one. It'd be a lot better than having to look at the User CP page imo, especially if you're tracking the individual bidders on the auction page.
